The Mysterious “Krishna Ball” Challenges All The Laws Of Physics

“Krishna’s butter ball” is a giant granite that rises menacingly on a smooth slope. This huge boulder can be seen in India.
Today, this mysterious giant stone is called simply “Krishna’s butter ball”, although its original name is “Vaan Irai Kal”, translated from Tamil (the original language of this land), it means “Stone of the Heavenly Deity”. This huge boulder is located on a hillside near the Ganesha Ratha Temple in Mahabalipuram, India.
The Indian city of Mahabalipuram emerged in the seventh century AD and was the most important port of the Pallava kingdom. Many unique Buddhist temples, monuments, monuments and sculptures have survived here until our time. Many of them are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Mahabalipuram is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India and a major tourist attraction on the Bengal coast. It is here that there is a giant boulder balancing on the slope, called “Krishna’s butter ball”. It is famous not only for its size, but also for defying all known laws of physics! “Krishna butter ball” has become a popular tourist attraction, which is visited by thousands of people every year. Both children and adults passionately dream of seeing this mysterious stone, which cannot be moved from its place by any force and by any means. The diameter of the stone is about five meters and the stone hangs at a dangerous 45 degree angle. It weighs over 250 tons and magically stands on a very small, slippery, sloping hill. In many ways, “Krishna’s Butter Ball” is further evidence of how incomplete our understanding of human history is. There has been much debate among experts as to how this huge boulder (which is most likely of natural origin) ended up on the hill.
So far, no one has been able to dislodge it. Many people have tried to think of a way to move the stone, but none of the attempts have been successful. According to an ancient myth, the Pallava king Narasimha-varman, who ruled South India from 630-668, also tried to remove this stone.
The king, of course, failed and issued a decree declaring the stone a manifestation of heaven and forbidden to touch it. Narasimha-varman was then forced to watch in disappointment that his order was not carried out. Despite all efforts, the boulder remained in place. In 1908, the then governor of Madras, Arthur Lawley, considered this boulder too dangerous. Concerned that the stone might slide down the mountain at any time, he ordered it to be moved somewhere else with the help of seven elephants. But the stone did not budge an inch, and the Indian government refused all attempts to move it, leaving the “Krishna Butter Ball” where it is now. Why is this stone impossible to move? Is it because of its weight, or is there something inside it that keeps it from sliding down the slope? Even today, moving a 250-ton boulder up a hillside would be very difficult.
This mysterious stone raises many questions with its presence, and for now they all remain unanswered. How does a 250-ton stone stand on less than 4 points of support? If it can’t be pushed down, how was it brought up the hill? Who placed this stone on the slope? Why is its name associated with celestial deities? Was the “heavenly deity stone” placed on the hill by the giants, or perhaps by the “heavenly deities” themselves, who wanted to demonstrate their power? What ancient unknown technology was used to transport this stone? Scientists believe that the mysterious “Krishna butter ball” owes its shape to the winds blowing from the ocean. Over thousands of years, they managed to create such an elaborate stone boulder from the monolith that even 9 elephants cannot move. But who will listen to scientists in a land of the Great Krishna, fakirs, yogis and snake charmers? “Krishna’s butter ball” is a place visited by many tourists. They really appreciate the opportunity to touch the favorite delicacy of the gods and take a small piece of beautiful India as a souvenir.
